During the second half-year of 2005 the sector of development of libraries of the LOUNB the research I and my Job among library workers of public libraries of the Central Library System of Lugansk region has been carried out in our library. The purpose of the research are to analyze personnel structure of libraries, to study social and psychological characteristics of experts, parameters of their professional level; to draw a portrait of the modern librarian of the region; to reveal prospects of library development and factors of increase of its status. 730 workers of the city, regional and rural libraries of our region have taken part in the research. Results of the research have enabled to receive an objective portrayal of the modern library expert of Lugansk region.
Experts and science workers as users of resource potential of our library
During 2004 the sector of development of libraries ONARB has carried out a sociological research Experts and science workers as users of resource potential of the LOUNB which purpose was studying library information services of the regional library at the present stage, expansion of representations about a social and professional portrait of its users, and also reception of information on a degree of satisfaction of inquiries of experts and conformity of library resources to their needs. The sociological information has been received by questioning users-experts of nine structural divisions, it includes 1,220 readers; for the analysis 955 questionnaires are selected. The carried out marketing research has allowed to draw the certain conclusions concerning correction of library policy with the purpose of the prevention of negative tendencies in service of users of the library.
