Regional Multy-Spcialized Scintific Library named after M. Gorky, the "Window on America" centre invites you to visit the book exhibition "Flag Day USA". There are a lot of information in english about american flag and it history.
Also on June 12 will take place Talk-clab "Flag Day USA".
An exhibition is standing on the 4th floor, in the department of the literature in foreign languages.

The main aim of the training was to get the leaders acquainted with the "Bibliomost" program and initiatives, which can help to transform public libraries into very important source for the city government, which can improve life of every citizen.
The following questions were discussed during the training: the role of the local government in the way of forming the strategic policy and culture development, possibilities of modern technologies and the Internet for society, management of innovative activities by the public libraries (review of the U.S. libraries experience), project activity as a source for attracting extended finance support, possibilities of interactive communication as a service in the public library.

The great number of exhibitions is counted in creation of photographer. This exposition is organized and supported of Embassy of France in Ukraine, French Cultural Center in Ukraine and Regional Public Organization "Lugansk French Alliance"
The exhibition works since May, 15 till May, 23, the entrance is free.

Conference has been devoted to questions of heroic and patriotic education of the youth. To the scientific and practical conference on the third floor of the library the cycle of exhibitions under the general name "They faught for the Native Land!" is opened.

The book exhibition "The rescueed world remembers…" on which the material about liberating movement of Poles, the Frenchmen, Czecks and Slovaks, the information on histories of the USA and the countries of the former USSR of the period of the Second World War, memoirs of marshals Zhukov G.K. and Rokossovsky K.K., reference and periodical material is presented.
The photo revue "This Day We Approached, as We Could" displays photographic materials of the war years and chronology of memorials, decisive events of the Second World War.

On April, 14 the library has organized the holiday of the Earth within the framework of which such events as: acquaintance with the library panorama "To the Earth with Love", with the exhibition of products of arts and crafts; presentation of herbal teas; the action Library Planet Gorkovka - the Territory of Beauty was organized.
In the action the students and teachers of speciality of landscape design of universities of the city, the masters of arts and crafts, flower growers, herbal tea specialists, visitors and readers of library took part.

This year in this program there are:
- Book illustrative exhibition "World Stars and World Music" which shows the readers life and activity of known all over the world Afro-Americans, singers of different musical genres and trends;
- The exhibition of posters and photos "The Quest for Black Citizenship in America" where world famous Afro-Americans: politicians, writers, actors, sportsmen, jazzmen, and usual citizens are presented.
Except that all the people can get acquainted with the Internet resource "Pop Culture Universe. Icons, Idols, Ideas" where they will find a huge quantity of the interesting information on Michael Jackson and others Afro-Americans starting from the 20s of the 20th century to the present time. Fans of motion picture arts can watch the American feature films in English. The exhibition is located on the 4th floor.

On February 17 in the sector "Russian Center" of the Lugansk Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A.M. Gorky the department of arts has organized the presentation of the new project of library: the Creative workshop "Crossroads: Ways of Spiritual Development".

The library has received this award for professional work, its mental potential, and significant contribution to reorganization and formation of attractive international image of Ukraine.
The ceremony of rewarding of participants of the national program took place on December 23, 2009

Scientists, teachers, artists, aspirants, masters and Chekhov's admirers are welcome to take part in the conference

Book, periodicals and mass media publications dedicated to history of Olympic Games, winter sports and Canada are displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition could be interesting for wide circle of readers and everyone interested in winter sports and healthy way of life. The exhibition will be extended with time
